- One set determines your eligibility.
- Other includes the requirements which you need to fulfill while studying in Canada.
- Currently a valid status in Canada.
- Proof of financial support for your education and living in Canada for the period of study.
- If you are in Canada as a visitor and wish to apply for a study permit to attend a designated learning institution (DLI), you may be able to do so from within Canada.
- successfully accepted candidates at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada.
- minor children studying at primary or secondary level.
- exchange or visiting students.
- individuals who have completed a short-term course or program of study that is a condition for acceptance at a designated institution.

- Completed IMM 1295 – Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada(a PDF form)
- Letter of Acceptance— Student Information for a Study Permit from a designated University
- Your original passport — a photocopy or scanned copy if you apply online.
- Proof that you have enough money to pay your tuition fees and living expenses for your first year in Canada.
- Photo— digital if you apply online
- additional PDF forms according to your country-specific checklist.
- a police clearance certificate and biometrics.
- results of a medical exam.
- custodian declaration – for students under 18 years of age.
