Manitoba is a province of Canada, situated at the longitudinal center of the country. Manitoba’s capital and its largest city is Winnipeg. Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) is one of the most popular Provincial Nominee Programs of Canada. It invites skilled workers, international students graduating in Manitoba and aspiring business immigrants to apply for permanent residency in Canada. MPNP program has three pathways:

Skilled Worker Stream
This program uses a point-based system to evaluate the eligibility of candidates who are experienced & trained workers internationally and possess the skill set required in the local labour market. The two sub-streams of this category are:Skilled Worker in Manitoba (SWM)
Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO)
International Education Stream (IES)
This program is designed for international graduates of Manitoba who meet the requirements of the working sector; thus, providing them quick pathways to permanent residency in Canada.
There are three pathways under this stream:
- Career Employment Pathway
- Graduate Internship Pathway
- International Student Entrepreneurship Pathway (ISEP)
Business Investor Stream (BIS)
The aspiring foreign nationals who wish to execute their business in Manitoba can apply for their permanent residence through this stream. Business Investor Stream works on an Expression of Interest System where the potential candidates give in their objective to apply to the program. The most qualified applicants are invited to apply for their permanent residence in Canada.
There are two pathways under this program:
- Entrepreneur Pathway (EP) – for applicants who wish to run their business in Manitoba.
- Farm Investor Pathway (FIP) – for applicants who wish to run farm operation in rural parts of Manitoba.
