British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration

Entrepreneurs with momentous personal net-worth and corporates who are having higher annual revenue can also apply under this program. Through new enterprise establishment scheme, all of these candidates can immigrate to British Columbia. British Columbia Skills Immigration

Skilled Worker 
For high demand occupations that fall under NOC O, A or B or TEER 0, 1, 2, 3 as per update NOC program; British Columbia requires skilled workers. Skilled Immigration / Skilled Worker category of BC PNP is a gateway for management personals, professionals, technicians and other skilled traders to acquire permanent residency in BC.

Health Authority Category
Physicians, specialists, nurses and allied health professionals who wish to work in BC can apply and acquire permanent residency through Health Authority category.

International Graduate
If you have graduated with a valid qualification from an eligible Canadian college or university with in the last three years, you can acquire permanent residency in BC through International Graduate category.

International Post Graduate
If you have graduated with a masters or doctoral degree in natural, applied or health sciences from an institute of British Columbia, you can acquire permanent residency in BC through International Post Graduate BC PNP category.

Semi-Skilled Worker/Entry Level Category
Workers currently working in BC in a valid tourism/hospitality occupation, food processing industry, long haul trucking occupation. For Northeast Region any NOC C, D or TEER 4, 5 can apply to acquire permanent residence in BC through Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Worker BC PNP category.

Express Entry BC

Express Entry BC is a faster way for eligible skilled workers to immigrate to BC. You must also qualify for a federal economic immigration program. It uses a points-based invitation system and is an entirely web-based registration and application process for both the BC PNP and permanent residency process.

Note: You do not require BC work experience. However, you must have relevant work experience as well as meet other requirements such as education and language.

 

BC PNP TECH

 

The BC PNP TECH program provides ability to IT employers in BC to hire and retain international talent. It was launched in 2017 as a pilot program and was made permanent in June 2021. This program is only for 29 tech occupations and processing times are faster as applications are processed within 2-3 months.

Eligible candidate can register online under determined tech category and get their registration score.  BC PNP will conduct tech draws to invite the highest scoring applicant to apply under this category. Once you get an invitation to apply you will have 30 days to submit your application. After application submission, those applicants who get approved will get a nomination to apply for their permanent residency and will get a work permit support letter.

In order to get permanent residency through BC PNP Tech program, a full-time job offer is required from one of the eligible tech sector occupations.

Employer requirements for BC PNP
However, under these programs, it is necessary for the employers to meet some necessary requirements, so that their job offers can be considered valid. Well, here are the most important employer requirements for BC PNP to consider:

Job Offer Requirements

  • Employer must offer an intermediate, full time job position.
  • The employer has to offer candidate a wage as per industry standards.
  • The position must meet the minimum requirements of wage as per annual wage, residence location and number of family members of applicant.

Recruitment Requirements
Employers need to demonstrate that they have made maximum efforts to recruit a Canadian citizen before hiring a foreign national for that job. However, you must know here that employers who have been recruited under BC PNP don’t need LMIA to make their position valid.

Business Requirements

  • Employer’s business must be well-established.
  • It must have a valid growth history.
  • The business needs to be in good standing in British Columbia with the good practices of workplace and business.
  • The business must meet the minimum requirements of employees as per following information:

Outside Vancouver: At least 3 employees working for full-time with organization.
Inside Vancouver: Minimum 5 employees working full-time with that specific business
